Case Study: Nailstone Colliery/AlRajhi United

Having recently teamed up Northamptonshire-based developers Curtis Hall and investment partners AlRajhi United Argon Utility Solutions were awarded the works to install a new medium main and 4 new medium pressure gas services at the former Nailstone Colliery site, in north west Leicestershire.

Work has started on a 55-acre warehousing site which could create between 1,000 and 2,000 jobs. Groundworks are under way at Midas 22 on the former site of Nailstone Colliery. Developers have planning permission for three warehouses on the site, which sits a couple of miles south of the vast Interlink logistics park at Bardon Hill, where tenants include Volvo, Laura Ashley and DHL.

Work preparing the site has begun and should be completed later this summer.
